Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk and Talk Therapy, also known as 'Eco Therapy' allows the session to take place in an natured environment.
Strolling through nature can be beneficial for some clients as they feel more comforted , relaxed and can give a sense of freedom. Walking side-by-side with the therapist can feel less formal and more equal. Therapy sessions can also take place outdoors in nature, incorporating movement and the natural environment.

What to expect?
Our first session will either take place face to face or online, during the session we will discuss suitability for walking therapy and discuss any practical issues as well as agreeing on a plan to support you, considering any risks.
Some factors to consider
As we are aware sometimes the weather can be unpredictable, the weather is too severe we will consider meeting either in person or online.
Being prepared is really important, so comfortable footwear and clothing should be considered to support your individual needs.
What happens if we meet people along the way?
Maintaining confidentiality is fundamental, during our session there may be others walking along the path, I encourage the mindfulness of comfortable distance between ourselves and others.
In the unlikely event that we may bump into someone we know. It is important that we consider how we will manage this. Being mindful not to encourage engagement, my suggestion is to casually say hi from a far casually move on to ensure that your session time is utilised on you.
